Benefit Reconsideration and Appeals – At Disability Online we know how hard it can be to be told that your benefit will be stopped if your haven’t received enough points at your medical or your DLA application was refused, so we are here to help, we can ask the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) for a reconsideration of the decision that has been made and if this fails then we will help you to appeal the decision and we will represent you at the Tribunal if you choose to have an oral hearing or prepare the paperwork if you choose to have a paper appeal – More info.
Personal Independence Payment (PIP) – Up to date information on this new allowance and when it is introduced from April 2013 we will be able to help clients claim and complete the forms, for up to date information on PIP please check our PIP page regular – More info.
Universal Credit (UC) – Up to date information as we get it – More info.
Housing and Council Tax – Application completion, Up to date information on the new benefit caps and bedroom tax and Discretionary Housing Payment DHP – More info.
Food Bank referral – We refer clients to 2 food bank organisations in the area for food parcels.
Mental Health Organisation referral – We are partners of a mental health organisation that can provide various ways of coping with mental health issues – Positive Futures Northwest & Social Prescribing.
Access issues – Access to services and building issues.
Disability Hate Crime – Provide support in reporting Hate Crime. More info
Social Service and Occupation Therapists referrals – Referral for social care package assessments and adaptions.
Signposting to other organisations if we are unable to help – Disability Online is not always able to help everyone so we will signpost clients to other organisations that may be able to help.
